This May drive will bring us down the backroads of southern SC and GA out to Guyton, GA then up to Springfield, Ga. for our "grab and go" at STACKS HAMBURGER STAND.
Then we'll head 5 minutes up the road to the EFFINGHAM LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM and dine at their picnic table. (You can always pack a lunch if you'd rather not eat burgers!) Mark says 'Stacks has one of the best burgers I've ever had!'
We'll then tour the MUSEUM and regather outside for our trip home, which my recommended route will bring us up north across the Savannah River into Clyo, SC over to Tillman, SC towards Rte. 462 in Hardeeville, then back to Bluffton. If the weather is good, this will be a nice drive running 1hr. 10 min. to the Effingham Museum and 1hr. 15 min. back to Bluffton.
Overall, it will be about a 4-5 hr. total time including the tour of the Museum. Tentatively, we'll be leaving at 10:15-10:30 from the Distillery in Bluffton. While I'll be sending out a "recommended route", you can always re-route yourself a bit quicker way using Google maps.
