LOMDS Gimmick Rally

DATE: Saturday - September 26th (Rain or Shine!)
TIME: 10:00 a.m. (assemble); First car off at 10:30 am
WHERE: Start from High-point Furniture (Closed) (right next to PetSmart)
DURATION: ~ 1 1/2 hours driving time.
COST: $5/vehicle rally entry

On Saturday September 26th we will start the event at the (closed) Highpoint Furniture Parking Lot located in Hardeeville next to PetSmart at 161 Copper Plate Rd, Hardeeville, SC 29927. Teams will be released in 5 minute intervals starting at 10:30 AM on a 1 1/2 hour tour of roads to let your carburetors/injectors breathe a bit more than normal.
The route will end at Love’s Seafood and Steak Restaurant on the Ogeechee River with lots of outdoor (socially spaced) seating where we can all gather and celebrate the completion. The rally is such that we don't want people to get lost, so no Time-Speed-Distance stuff. You will need a Navigator because we will have some "Gimmicks" along the way. They will need to fill in the blanks on your rally sheet and that is how we will score and determine a winner. For safety, no SOLO drivers!
The route will require your vehicle to have a re-settable trip odometer. A GPS is not needed and will not give you much of an advantage anyway. Your Navigator with a sharp set of eyes will be your best accessory. This is all meant to be a fun event with some great fellowship at the end. The drive home will be less than an hour so we figure you can be back at the starting point by 2-3PM depending on how much time you spend at lunch.
