Chris Brewer - President HHI Concours

The Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance is proud to announce Chris Brewer as their new president. Brewer is charged with enriching the concours lowcountry luxury event vision, developing enticing experiences for showgoers and entrants, and integrating the event with the local community including its 350-strong volunteer corps.

Brewer most recently served as senior director of concours for Hagerty. In that role, he helped lead three celebrated concours events, The Amelia, the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance and the Detroit Concours d’Elegance (previously Concours d’Elegance of America). Prior to that position, Brewer worked as director of communications and public relations for the award-winning Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance where he led media relations, oversaw the volunteer program, assisted the sponsorship team and often served as a conduit for local non-profit and charitable partners.

In addition, Brewer is the founder and president of First Coast Car Culture, producing motoring events across the southeast including Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville, the annual Jekyll Island Holiday Lights Cruise, and the San Jose Car and Truck Show. A noted author and photographer, Brewer’s work can be found in automotive outlets including Hemmings, Classic Motorsports and Carfax.com.

“For years I’ve enjoyed Hilton Head Island Concours as a spectator and close friend of the event,” said Brewer. “I’m continually amazed by the warm hospitality of the staff and volunteers, the stunning elegance of the curated automobiles and the incredible beauty of the island. I am humbled and thrilled to take the reins from the incredibly gifted Lindsey Harrell and work with a talented staff and thoughtful board of directors to continue to elevate the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance as a recognized leader in the concours world while giving back to the community in a meaningful way.”

Chris and his wife Erin have two daughters and currently live in Jacksonville, Florida where he enjoys boating, fitness, automotive restoration, playing guitar and giving back to the community. He will begin his new role on December 1, and will attend this year’s Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance November 3-5, 2023 to meet and visit with attendees and other event stakeholders.
